"After hearing about Fuse Systems at a conference, I realized that our membership could be better served by the services Fuse provides. I am not one to make a hasty decision, so I reached out to some of the other groups who utilize Fuse Systems and the reviews were great. After meeting with Elyse, it was comforting to know that she was directly involved in all of her accounts and the work is not farmed out to a third party. Eventually we ended up contracting to formulate the member database, a Union App, mass email, texts and app notifications and eventually, elections.
The member database has been extremely helpful in communicating with the membership and easily sending communications broken down into various categories such as rank, age, hire date and even election districts.
The App has been a great resource for our members to access frequently asked questions, contract information, important forms, links to work related resources and a variety of medical/mental health information, all on their smartphone.
Communicating with the membership is very important, especially in our field. The mass emails, texts and app notifications allow me to send information instantly. I use it nearly every day. Online elections were an area that I wasn't aware of at the onset of us contracting with Fuse Systems. We first tried it as a poll to gauge the memberships opinion on an important topic. The response was amazing. Traditional mail ballots and polls have yielded us about 60% participation in the past. Our first attempt yielded over 80% and we followed with a Board election and a contract vote which just yielded more than 96% member participation.
The services offered by Fuse Systems have allowed us to adapt with the times and properly communicate with the newer generation of members. I especially like that they take feedback from their clients and build solutions with updates and new features. I look forward to working with Fuse Systems to stay up to date with the ever-changing technology and products to serve our membership."
